why do i have to go to the meetings!
I absolutley hated going to meetings. Especially when I had to read the watchtower or read at the book study or carry the mike or work the sound. The whole shaving, suit, missing football games and tv shows or just drinking a beer after work. Since I left I found there are so many more things I can do instead of going to meetings.

An Elder once gave a talk at our Hall and said that in the new order we might even live on the moon..THE MOON!!! For 35 years I've been told we are going to live on a earthly paradise and this guy says we could live on the moon. YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS MAN!!!

i wrote a letter to some personal friends in the congregation and enclosed the letter from the un.
i also wrote a short disassociation letter to four elders and enclosed the un letter as well.
i delivered them to the mailboxes and also mailed a couple.
Good for you. I wish I could've done that. I just sorta faded away. I moved 3000 miles away. Some still think I'm in good standing. If they only knew the real deal.

as some may know i am a huge avid chicago cubs fan, mainly because my dad's side of the family is from that area.
where are all the cub fans?
as i wear my cub apparel out in public, i get looks like i was a dying breed.
I love those Oakland A's. Even thought we aren't doing that well this year.
